Week 7 (30.07.06) Match 3

AC Melon 2 - Whereda Breadman 2

Melons Held, Again

The Melons desperately wanted to win this match to keep their title hopes alive while the Breadmen wanted to avoid losing for a 3rd consecutive game.

Melons started off perfectly with Oon scoring twice to sink the Breadmen's heart. Plays got a bit bogged down after the early goals with both sides playing cancelling out each other. First half score Melon up 2 - 0.

Plays remained sluggish in the second half and Melon seemed to be coasting to another win but disaster struck about 3 minutes from the end when Jian YI pulled a goal back for the Breadmen.
The goal seemed to rejuvenate the Breadmen and they began to attack furiously. Rattled and shaken from their prematured victory celebration, Melon tried to keep the Breadmen at bay but a lucky bounce saw Jian Yi scoring the equalising goal to deny Melons the desperately needed 3 points.

Man-of-da-match : Jian Yi (Whereda Breadman)

Goal Scorers :-
Oon (Melons) - 2 goals

Jian Yi (WB) - 2 goals

Over confident? Melon was a much stronger team, dominated the game and the Breadmans were tired because it was the second game.

Jian Yi always goes to that position just in case you didn't notice that. No one was marking him.

You should have put in Superman who has boundless energy supply to run around and reduce Breadman's movements. Instead, i think he had more time helping me to keep the time for the game than to play in it... LOL

Jeshua or Shawn scored the first goal? I thought it was Jian Yi who scored both goals??

due to tight budget (again), we had to choose either to terminate the golf membership for the committtee members or to relinquish our world class editorial team.

after some deliberation, the ommittee has been decided to it's in the best interest of the league to keep the golf membership as a well rested body is very important in planning the focus and future direction of the league.

Hence, we were working without our top-notch editorial team last week and hence the mix-up.

Rest assured this incidence will not recur as we have a new editorial team from staff promoted from within current set-up, hence no additional cost.

Good news, we now have a new opening for a tea-lady! Applicants are welcome to apply.

Being a melonese myself , i must say we dun have the endurance like we used to . Well , we shall bounce back and hopefully halt the madmen's advance . Viva La Melons

what to do....think players ate too much melon and all went lau-sai before the match...that's why couldn't concentrate and concede last minute goal.
