Week 2 : 27 January 2008

Match 3 @ 4.30 pm : FC Pasar Vs Little-Poo

Just like its real life twin, Little-Poo is suffering from a dip of form due to boardroom tussle and ownership issue between GBH Ceramics and Johnson Suisse, two renowned toilet-bowl and ceramic makers. The manager is desperately hoping to get his team to re-focus on the matches ahead.
Meanwhile, FC Pasar is very eager to get their season rolling with a first victory, after narrowly avoiding defeat last week. A victory will be especially sweet and monumental to their new keeper, Aaron, who has NEVER tasted a single victory in the past 2 seasons, despite being with different team. Jinxed, perhaps?

we may have lost the first battle, but we shall win the war!!!

americe lost the first battle on pearl harbor, but they prevailed and won the war.

likewise, poopsters, arise from the ashes of defeat, brush off the sting of losing and march on the tunes of glorious crowd singing, YOU'LL NEVER POOP ALONE.

Victory is reserved for those who dare to dream.

poop on others, my teamies, lest others poop on you...muawahahaha

yeah yeah...
see you on Sunday and we'll see who poop on who.. :P

I'm expecting the Poos to use Sirn Loong as keeper and probably play with only one striker this time round.

And the ever energetic Kevin Lee will still be your libero.. wiht a free role to roam but basically a sweeper?

aaron hav gud reflexes just like the goalie in dr henry team, wat he lacked is height, n consistency, a golaie first must be brave, n that he hav, then gud positioning, quick to cut out crosses, gud reflex in dealin with pop shots n first time shots. he remind me of the 1978 argentina goalie named fillol. the 1st choice goalie with the argentine world cup winning team. in fact metro hav many gud young players today compared to the early years, where we even hav to put in a cat or dog animal into the team then!!!!!!!!!! we didnt hav enough players n gud players like u young guys today to present metro in the national youth day those early years. in fact its good feelings to be back to soccer after been out of touch for many years ,i see good changes, little boys i seen such as adrian john n ruben hav grown up n playing soccer, i remember adrian mum once approached me to teach her son to play soccer when he was just a very very very shy primary school boy, he would never uttered a word nor answer me when ever i asked him!!, i still dont know why till today!!!!!!!!! but today i seen him grown into fine young lad. this metro young lads hav much potentials to excel well if given any opportunity to xcel in the nyd games, if ever there's any. u young guys lacked is xpeience playin in major leagues such as the nyd games, n u young guys needs people like garret, gary yeoh to guide n lead u all with andy in defence of cos. y? metro do not hav an xperienced centre defence yet. i coached n played for metro for 3 conseutive years, n it was the 1 st year that we managed to reached the final, a toally underdog team beatin more fancied aog teams along the way rite into final!!!! the second yr, the team was more balanced n had the xperience but we lost out in the semi final, i dunt know to who, i couldnt played for metro that yr cos of work then, perhaps ask lawrence or chis yong. the 3 rd yrs we didnt fared well, cos we lost quite number of playes then who left the church. so for the record, metro didnt win the cup final, the trophy or trophies u guys saw in the chruch, was overall champion cos metro won in other games like volleyballs, netball, basketball. the closest is 2nd placing or losing finalist in soccer, thats the nearest. therefore its up to u young guys now, if n should there be an nyd games or tournament again. back to u guys, basically the present tems lacked is heights when play in open field, eps our goalies, but again there are ways, strategies n tactical plays n ploys as how to counter n covered up any team weakness, uncle have been playin with u young fine lads for some months now n i hav observed many of u guys n know most of u guys strengths n weakness but if blend togather as a team, u guys could go very far in nyd games, one thing i think all of u may agreed with me bout aaron is, he's agile quick n brave, just need to be more consistent n turn up for more games in the weekends, he is gud as he can be. finally, thank you fine lads for the game from the bottom of my heart, nad there will come a time when i will hav to quit playing the game for good, cos of my age,but i know when that day comes, i leaves with pleasant thoughts, memories, thanks for the beautiful game and thanks for instill back into my life, my love n passion in soccer which was once lost for many years but found again, thanks to each n every one of u guys. i dunt go to church anymore for many years but i say this with the depths of my heart, thanks guys n may God bless each and everyone of you.

thanks, uncle peter, for those kind and wise words.

we hope to play football with you more often too, as we realised though we may have the youth and agility, we lack football wisdom and experience.

This is where experienced players like yourself, andy, gareth, etc., comes in to coach and guide the young.

cheers.

its nice to read all u guys comments n jokes, very interesting n fun.
thats wat friends are for iregards which teams we present. in the end of the games we are still friends. and friends in deed even in games though we play hard well n fair to win.

what is A TEAM? A TEAM not only make up in numbers, talents, skills, etc etc. its much more than all these.
A TEAM is only a team when they play as A TEAM AND PLAY FOR A TEAM.

it means u play as a team n play for each other.thats the TEAM n u then hav spirit and unity in the team. you cover ur temamate weakness with ur stength n he supports u in his stength to compliment ur weakness

the great liverpool in the 70s n 80s is a gud xample. they may hav kevin keegan, then kenny dalglish ian rush, but so did other great teams then who did hav great names in their teams then in clubs like bayern munich, juventus, barcelona, ajax etc. wat seperate liverpool from the rest great in europe was, they played AS A TEAM AND THEY PLAYED FOR A TEAM which means they played for each other. thats was the key that made em so successful in that era!!!! bayern munich has beckenbauer, paul bretnier, george schwarzenbeck, gerd muller sepp maier etc the 70s world cup winning team for west germany in their folds then but liverpool stood out tall amongst em all.
i remembered watching an english league match then during that tym, where that great liverpool team strung 22 passes around the pitch continiously w/o opponents able to intercept n end up with a shot at opponent goal!!!! the opponent then was no other than manchester united!!!!

i see great good spirit in u guys which is very important for any sports which is a team game n team event. when a team mate is weak, u assist encourage n build him up n assist him in the game. give him supports n confidence in his self belielfs.

to little poo team n each and every players n manager, i encourage u guys, dunt dwells on last week defeat anymore, start a new n afresh.everybody n even team made mistakes and we learnt from it to make us better n stronger as individual players n in characters and as a team.
to be frank, last week score line does not relfect the true potential of little poo team, just tat wrong strategies used n lacked in wat i called in my professional soccer carrer, focus set for and in the game.
its will be a tough match this weekend for fc pasar cos uncle knows somehow,

all is not lost yet as the season still some way to go b4 it ends, anything can happen in soccer. players in little poo has not hit form yet, n therefore its dangerous to write em off now.

hav a great week u guys, hey!! any oranges for me for gong xi fa cai??? just joking

uncle peter

its nice to read u guys comments n jokes, thats wat friends are for anyway!!!!

thanks, uncle peter, for your words of encouragement. we shall try different strategies this time, and it will involve scoring more than goals than letting in, which we've got ter-balik at the last game :p

ppl say that action speaks louder than words...so, if u really, really, want to encourage us, maybe give us an early goal or two la, since we're playing your team :)

but seriously, to all the other teams out there, just remember this :

shiock may have flushed 'poo away,
but our smell will lingers for a long, looong time,
and furthermore, unless you stop eating entirely,
we will shall be back,
and make you suffer your crap!

viva la 'poo!

kevin tay,....just a recap on what you said,

"poopy-cock! if you wanna have fun, join the kiddies league. this league for real men. if you ain't one, you'll make you one.

you wanna stay injury free or not get hurt, join the lawn bowling team. don't join the tai-chi class, it could be too rigorous for you.

this is futsal, bro! THIS IS WAR!!!"

Guess u lost the war. 7-1

nvm kevin...real men can afford to lose 7 goals. hehehe. Go get 'em this week.
