Mid Season Review

How time flies!

We've reached the mid-season point of the league. Full season consists of 12 games to be played by all teams, with each team having to meet each other 3 times on a home, away and neutral ground basis.

Real Madreed have the distinction of being the only unbeaten team after 6 games played and are currently leading the pack with 12 points. Packed with good players and having strong depths in reserves, Madreed have threaten to run away with the title but draws against the strong contenders is keeping the championship race an open contest.

AC Melon started nervously with a rare defeat in the hands of Breadman in their very first game. Fortunately, they recovered to remain unbeaten since then and have been shadowing Madreed and matching them point for point. Having stabilized the team performance, the manager will look forward to next half of the season to challenge for an unprecented back-to-back league title.

Whereda Breadman is struggling to find consistency in their game, having posted 2 each of wins, draws and losses. The manager is still waiting for his team to gel and to get consistent resutls. After suffering two losses in a row, the manager seemed to have steer his team back to winning ways last week and hopefully, the winning ways will continue.

Rarelyreal is not unlike Breadman; struggling for consistency. While they have no problem scoring and creating goals (12 goals scored), they do have a very generous backline, having conceded 13 goals! The manager is expected to find ways to plug his porous backline in the upcoming transfer season.

Celpigs United, this season debutants, is still struggling to find its feet after suffering 4 losses while managing to draw the other 2 games. The team looked strong defensively, having conceded only 10 goals; which is better than Breadman's and Rarelyreal. However, lack of firepower upfront proved to be their achilles heel as they scored a measly 2 goals. As they say in football, best defense is offense!

Time to share your thoughts, player and managers!
