Week 6 (23.07.06) Match 3

AC Melon 0 - Real Madreed 2

Madreed Continues Unbeaten Run

In this battle between the defending and the aspiring champions, Real Madreed exploited Melon's fatigue and tiredness to chalk up another win in their quest for the first trophy.

Melon, having played a gruelling match earlier, looked tired and fatigue, were stunned when Madreed scored from kick-off. Melon's Samuel failed to block Edrian's blistering shot which went past the stranded keeper, who was blind-sided by all the players in front of him.

After the initial goal, Melon were forced to abandon their usual patient and passing game to press for the levelling goal. Playing without their defensive rock, James, Melon looked fragile at the back and their keeper was constantly tested.

Madreed looked very solid with the evergreen Andy pulling the strings for them, negating Melon's attack and spraying passes beautifully to his team-mates.

First half ended 1-0 to Madreed and Melon continued to press harder for a goal but to no avail.
Madreed scored another after some fortuitous bounce of the ball to end the game 2-0 winner.

Man-of-da-match : Christopher (Madreed)

Goal Scorers :-

Edrian (Madreed) - 1 Goal

Gilbert (Madreed) - 1 Goal

Chewbacca scored a lucky goal. i think it was a fluke goal. But even if Kevo knew where the ball was going, i doubt he can stop it...

Kevo's weakness is in grounders... So he needs his defenders to be alert. Unfortunately, Superman jumped to avoid that grounder!

Melon should have had Suresh moving around more often. He's more dangerous that way and his shots is a constant threat to all keepers.

Andy is of course good and experienced. But you can stop his attacks if you don't give him space.

But i agree wiht the author, the second game is a disadvantage as players are already tired.

btw, was that a fluke by banana kick too?

hhmm...i agree and disagree. my weakness is grounders, but that's when they are shot maybe 3-8 feet away.

edrian was shot from the halfway line, so i've got the whole weekend to move and catch the ball but alas, what to do...:(

and suresh is in Madreed liao, a typo in ducky's comment.

and sepak pisang shot into an unattended goal after i charged out to block suresh's ball....if he still miss that, then no more sepak pisang but makan pisang :)

Aiya... sorry, i didn't realise that.

See, Admin, you shouldn't have sold Suresh right? I bet you regret that at the end of the match.

With james, you have to play his game tactics. he works very well through his tactics as he know how to maximise his strong points. I am not going to reveal it here for yours and james sake. So, james didn't play in that game, and you had no tactics??

Keep your Superman at the back and always make sure he is dicipline to stay as a defender... soemtimes he really thinks he is superman and go flying every where leaving you with no defenders.

oh, Edrian's shot at goal was weak. He some how miskicked it. If he hit it right, you bet it would have gone up! He's got a special skill to play rugby and american football. Anyway, i still think you would have missed that grounder. LOL

wahai itik,

cakap jangan sebarang cakap,

makan jangan sebarang makan,

nanti lau-sai sampai pengsan!

takda james ada lain,

takda suresh boleh main,

kalah pun sekali sekala,

bumi mana tak ditimpa hujan,

manusia mana tak pernah telanjang,

it's life, u know....
