Week 2 In Review : 24 August 2008

Match 4 : Real Madreed vs Live-Like-Fools (3-3)
RM looked like lamb for the slaughter after last week thrashing. LLF started strongly and controlled the match while RM pulled everyone backed trying to starve off the attacks. However, it was RM who scored against the run of play when Mervyn put a grounder past the stranded goalkeeper. Stung, LLF pushed harder but can’t seem to find a way past the four man defense. Lady luck seemed to be smiling on RM as they pulled ahead with 2 rather fortunate goals from Lawrence and Christopher that really demoralized LLF.

LLF at last got a lucky break when Oon’s shot bounced off Mervyn for their first goal. Continued pressure on RM bore fruit again when Jeremy grabbed another goal. RM at this point were holding on for dear life as LLF is hell-bent on not losing this game. RM saw their first win of the season evaporate as Oon grabbed a late equalizer with the last kick of the game.

MOTM – Christopher (RM)

Match 5 : JC vs Men’s-ChestHair (3-4)
Hornyau stung the confident JC when he scored unmarked from the center. He heaped more misery when a moment of brilliance saw him sidestepping a defender, cuts in from the left and scored. Kavaldip and Shawn combined to draw JC level. Daniel pulled JC ahead as temperatures continued to rise at this point, culminating in Jeshua receiving his second yellow card of the season when he tackled Weeliam from behind. In the next play, Edrian dispatched a harmless looking long shot. However, Aaron spilt the ball and Weeliam gleefully sent it into the back of the net to level. Later, an unmarked Weeliam received the ball from the right and found himself one on one with Aaron again. Again, Weeliam delivered and JC were left ruing their mistakes.

MOTM – Weeliam

Match 6 : Real Madreed vs Florence&Tina (0-10)
No, it wasn’t a typo in the scoreline. RM, feeling tired from their first game, couldn’t muster enough strength to push back the FT typhoon. Goal after goal went past the hapless keeper and RM only wish is for the referee to blow for time quicker. Scorers for FT are Lil’kev (3 goals), Alwin (3 goals), Raymond (2 goals) and Ryan (2 goals).

MOTM - Alwin

I thought Chris did well yesterday except for sending Alwin his Christmas gift a bit early.

He saved a lot of shots for RM in both games and also played with an injured hand.

Yes I must agree...He did exceptionally well this week..if it wasn't for him the scoreline would have been much worst....

why bother about who assist this, assist that?

in the batman movies, does anyone bother abt his assistant, 'look-i'm'-so-gay-robin'?

in lord of the rings, do you remember who was frodo's friend/assistant?

what about rocky, rambo, 24, mission impossible, who's the assistants? ...bet you're scratching your head now

in euro'08, do u remember who provided the pass to torres to score?

SEEEEE???!!! no one cares la, at most u yourself know, tumpang glamour and shiok sendiri saje

bottomline, if u didn't score the goal, u ain't worth mentioning.

life is short, play hard

muawahahahhaa :)

Haiya....no need to know who assist who and how many times.....the important thing is that the team wins...and that is what we should be looking at....goals scored, man of the match and goal assists are just a bonus thing....

Melyvn is the most expensive player according to transfer points for now, despite not scoring any goals.

Score goals doesn't mean that you're all that good afterall. Its the overall contribution.

tbh, I think F&T were very fortunate that Suresh wasn't playing and it was RM's second game for the day.

but then, if you contribute ie assist but your team mates don't score, it's not an assist, isn't?

so, score goals is very, very, very important.

you pass and pass and pass but don't score...no assist lor, no transfer point lor.

but i understand where ducky's coming from....he's arsenal fan ma....arsenal's motto is you should pass and pass and pass.....and pass and pass, until you're bored, then try to shoot for goal, if you feel like it.

muawahahahahah

Hahahaha...its not just passing aimlessly....the planning of a pass will create the goal...I always believe if you cannot move forward, you gotta pull back to gain what you want .

Possesion of the ball is important to get that score. With good clean passing, you get that possesion. With the possesion you control the game. Control the game and you will get that scoring chances. When you score, chances of winning is high.

Kevin, we'll try to pass into your goal then.

Totally agree with DingDong ,but some times some players just dun get it . Once u pass them the ball , they just run straight towards opponents , charging in , trying to get to the D to take shots . Sometimes u need to draw the opponents out esp those teams that's playing camping .
I agree currently F&T doing well in passing and possession . They'll be the team to beat this season . MCH is also another team to watch , with uncle andy and fly boy and hon-k-yau and Mr Hairy .. tough team to beat (good composure)

u forgot TO MENTION the keeper of F&T.. oso not easy to beat KAY!!wakaka!

Hahaha....Everyone is equally important in the team...that is why we call ourselves a team. It consists of a group of people working together to achieve the same goal.

Futsal master, depends on the team strategy la. But most team that played last week doesn't play a keep ball game when they've taken the lead resulting in opposition team equalising.

10 goals in 20 to 30 mins tells me, very clearly, rm played without purpose after couple goals down,
its not that rm have not enough gud players, skills n teamworks, i believe their biggest costs to their contribute to their defeat is, they emselves.
before a team goes in the game. as a coach n professional player b4, we focus our minds n hearts to win the match, but during the game, it may not turn out as we may expect, like i said before, when a tam knows they cant win that day during the game, focus to play for a draw then, n when the team is losing, n knowing well, cant win nor draw, then play to keep the score down.
the focus is not there, the mind game is not there, its not important whether the opponents are much stronger or not,
cos many of u guys have wrong perceptions when playing better temas n players,
back of ur mind many of u gave up, soccer is mind game as well. perhaps now you see actually where most of u guys stand.. u may beautiful skills, ball controls, but still lose, n lose badly. if we think our malaysian soccer is of low today, perhaps u guys should think, where many of u stand then, when u not even playing for professional clubs or states level least at national levels. i said b4 many of u have potentials, but havin potentials is one thing, to be developed n mould into is another, it just wont happen until u allowed to make it happen.
it tells me uring that match many gave up, n i say, those who gave up, are guilty n ought to be shot! if im the coach, i throw out those who gave up out of thew team. few played hard, but they cant do much when their temamates gave up, isnt soccer a team game/ those few who played their hearts out were let down by those who gave up n it contbibuted to more goals.
mnay of u guys should watch, watching is one thing. willing to learn is another thing. watch ding dong. not only his skills.
to me din gdong stength is his never give up no matter what, he keeps running, chasing, tacklings, .

he one of those fews in u guys whom i see who is a team player. wat is a team player? well many of u will gve many answers.
a team player is a player who play for the team and play as a team.
if u guys still dunt know this definitions, then u guys despites how good n skillful u may be, have still a long long long long long way to know bout soccer.

finally uncle would like to apologise to u guys n to samuel, on the recent incident, that took place . my sincere apologise to samual and everyone of u guys who were there.

ding dong is a compete team player, there may be a few who have better sikills than him, but, in terms of complete team player, learn from him.

ding dong knows when to time his runs n into space for a clear shotn draws uncle attentions cos he knows uncle passings can be precise but in order to make my passings teeling, i need players like him to. he alos passes the ball well.

ifu guys thinks u ready to play in tournament in open fields,i would say, u not ready thought u have potentials to be a very gud team, but playing open field n futsal are totlally different.
u be slaughtered, massacarce, destoyed, ruined... any more words???, if u guys are goin to play with weak minds n faint hearts.
to sum it up, the team may not have ding dong n players that looks like him!!!! but can u say, u cant run chase n played with the same attitudes like him, never give up... till the final whistle blows?//
u can!!! u may not be gud lookin like him, but u can help ur team by contribute by playing for a team and play as a team.as he ding dong does.
how u guys received my message here, whether well or negative is up to each individuals opinion,

one thing i sum up, u young guys have the skills speeds etc against uncle aging age , slow n weary sights.... but uncle have all the experiences far out even all u gys put all ur experiences togather,

if there one thing i profited in my youth, i was a willing teachable student, ever ready willin go learn from those much older than me in my youth in soccer.
i look forward playing against strong teams and better players than me, but how many of u guys have this in u?
this is the different between yesterday players and today players here.

i rather play against stronger teams n better players cos not only it will make me a better player but for my team also and also it always brings the best out of me and i learn more than i play against weak team...... this is my motto i carried it in my mind and heart at the age of 17 years old till today age 51. it made me wat the player i was n am.
sometimes i said all these, cos i hope thoise who read it, may tkae it n apllied it.
if im selfish, i wont want to say , wont want to show opr even share and keep it all to my self.
its not bout self boasting, wat there to baost anymore since. im in my twiluight years, waiting to either be in heaven or in hell,
for the love of the game, i shared to u guys.

finally thanks n uncle apologise once again, have gud weekend, thank

uncle peter
