A THANKSGIVING DINNER will be held this Saturday (11October 2008) at 7.30.
Venue will be at the San Francisco restaurant, located at the row of shops near Carrefour, Wangsa Maju.
League members will be given free food and are encouraged to bring guests eg.
a. spouse (you can only have one),
b. girlfriends (you may have >1 :),
c. boyfriends (we're an open minded),
d. children (ye go forth and multiply, you may have as many as you like), and/or
e. etc.
Guests shall be given free food by the person who invited them....so if you're kiam-siap and still want to bring guests, share food lor.
Winners of trophies, medals and other outstanding achievement awards, like our own Balloon of Odor will be announced.
Please confirm your attendance (and your guests) to your team manager ASAP (deadline given to the managers was last night ). Also, please state your preference of dish, chicken, beef or fish (sorry, no pork coz all babi balik tongsan)

P/S : we're calling it a thanksgiving dinner this season because a majority of us are simply very thankful to have survived the hardest season ever (to borrow a quote from TARA3) without visiting the local hospitals, clinics or tit-tar sinseh.

we are still waiting for enough MPs (MP = mfc players) to cross-over.
until then, we can't confirm the take-over date.

ok, i've checked out 3 places for paintball, bukit jalil, subang and kemensah.
average pricing is about RM100/pax for a 2 hr game. if you're trigger happy, then expect to pay more lor for extra pellets.
i've got quotations for bukit jalil and subang....though subang is cheaper but i don't think we would want to travel that far.
still waiting for kemensah to revert with prices.
in the meantime, we've myself, flyboy, henry and ryan. best if we can get 8 or more.

100 pax for how many pallets each? do they share the markers?
means after every round u might not get back the same marker u use...
cuz i've played in kemensah once and they charge around RM80 per person and each person gets 300 palles... tats cheap! hehe...
but when i was playing there... they just bring out a box of pallets and fill it in the markers... means they wont count 300 pallets for u... they just keep filling those markers until it is full... so... i dont understand why they say RM80 for 300 pallets each... get wat i mean? i also duno how to explain hehe...
oh ya... and i dont know what kind of pallets they use there la... or it could be due to the pressure they use also... there are times which i shoot, the pallet bounce of the person without breaking =.=
oh, and also sometimes the pallet go sideways instead of straight ahead... hmm, maybe i had "bent the bullet" skill without realising it myself =p
oh... and also the place i tink is suitable for 5 a side or 6 a side most... and its quite "laoya" place... but i reckon that it will be the cheapest among the 3 places mentioned...
i tink the best would be bukit jalil... they have several field sizes and can accomodate up to 10 a side paintball match... but have to find out whether its 2000 pallets shared by everyone(assuming 10 people) or 200 pallets person... cuz as i know they sell in boxes and each box has 2000 pallets....
oh... and also whether they give student price for me since i'm a student but going to play with.... married people (uncles) hahaha

for bukit jalil, the base price is RM45 for full gear + 50 pellets. then extra pellets are charged at RM0.24/pc.
normally, a group will just buy pellets by the boxes, with 2000/box and everyone share the cost. when that happens, the marshalls won't bother to count your pellets, they'll just open the box and fill up all the markers after every round until the whole box is finished.
so, the more ppl play, the lower the cost lor...if only 6 ppl, then no need to buy a box, imagine each one have to shoot 333 times within that two hours......it's single shot, not machine gun, even rambo also cannot do that...finger cramp leh.
so the price for bkt jalil is 45 + 480/box of pellets to be shared among the no. of ppl.

anyway... student price is only RM0.20 per pallet
if i'm not mistaken starting is RM30 + 50 pallets and full gear... can pls enquire whether they will charge me seperately for that? hehe

The paintball slots opened for next weekends are 9-11, 11-1, 2-4 AND 4-6.
This weekend is out coz of the church seminar.
Next saturday is out too, coz most of us will be at Ernest's wedding.
So, that left us with next Sunday.

starter pack for ADULTs @ 45, extra pellets @ rm0.24
for students, it's RM30 + extra pellets @ rm0.20.
starter pack inclusive of 50 pellets.
so, if you think u want extra 100 pellets, then cost will be 45 + 24 = 69.
i think for a 2 hour slots, 100-200 will suffice...unless u mat rambo la :)

so, we'll take the 4-6 slots lor.
from bkt bintang, go to jln tun razak, turn right and head to bulatan pandan. from there, take the klia-putrajaya highway. you'll reach bkt jalil within 20 mins. 15 min if you drive 150km/hr :)
normally it takes me about less than 20 mins to reach bkt bintang from bkt jalil...at 120km/hr or less, hehehe.

hello again, was away in melaka without internet connection, so can't reply to you guys.
was there to prepare my phd thesis that futsal was first played by the hangs (tuah, jebat, lekir, etc.) who brought the game from china. no conclusive proof yet, though.
ok, back to paintball. now that we have the number, i'll make the bookings today/tomorrow.
